Data 410 - Business Context for Data Analysis
Introduces the use of data to meet the needs of an organization and apply data in decision-making. Understand a balanced approach to integrating data decisions in business processes and strategic alignment.
Data 415 - Statistical Analysis of Data
Using statistical techniques to arrange, extract, transform and load the datasets to gain insight from data. Students will learn a diverse range of statistical methods and analyze datasets with the purpose of effectively conveying information to business decision-makers.
Data 420 - Predictive Analytics
This course is based on fundamental analytics models using a programming language. It entails proficiency in predictive analytics models, encompassing data mining, data aggregation, integration, and data visualization. Students will also explore the application of market research and data mining techniques to anticipate challenges and enhance results.
Data 445 - Business Analytics
This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of data analysis principles and methods, employing widely recognized industry tools and techniques. Students will gain the skills to proficiently utilize data analysis tools and deliver refined insights by engaging in hands-on exercises and using industry-standard analytical tools to inform decision-makers.
Data 460 - Business Intelligence Reporting
This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of data visualization concepts and techniques used by leveraging industry-standard business intelligence software. Students will also gain knowledge in enhancing, customizing, and effectively managing professional reports.
Data 475 - Advanced Concepts in Data Analytics
In this course, students will explore advanced data analysis concepts, including machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, artificial intelligence and probabilistic programming. Students will also examine trends in predictive and prescriptive analytics, as well as developments in IoT and cloud computing.
Proj 406 - Data Analytics Capstone Project
This capstone project for the Data Analytics program presents the framework for students to complete a synthesis of the program outcomes and learning in a final, demonstrative manner.
